The UKATA approved Asbestos Non-Licensed works Training course is designed to provide a sound knowledge and understanding of the hazards and risks posed by working on Non-Licensed Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s) in the built environment.
It is aimed at anyone who is undertaking these tasks or those supervising or managing them. It is advisable that the manager or supervisor who will be producing the risk assessments and Plan of Work attend to understand the legal requirements of these documents.
The training will comply with the requirements of Regulation 10 Information, Instruction and Training of the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012 and will utilise the guidance document HSG210 Asbestos Essentials.
It is comprised of both theory and practical element to ensure the candidate leave with a good understanding of how to plan and undertake these tasks in a safe and controlled manner ensuring they are completed safely and in line with the Regulations.

- EM0 – RA and POW
- EM1 – What to do if you accidentally disturb asbestos
- EM2 – Information instruction and training
- EM3 – Building and dismantling a mini-enclosure
- EM4 – Using a H-type vac
- EM5 – Wetting ACM’s
- EM6 – PPE
- EM7 – Using damp rags to clean surfaces of minor asbestos contamination
- EM8 – Personal decontamination
- EM9 – Disposal of asbestos waste
- EM10 – Statement of cleanliness after TC removal
