Testimonials

“We have been working with Lucion Delta-Simons since 2022 and their exhaustive investigation and thorough research into Airedale Group’s operations has provided us with an invaluable insight into the business and how we can effectively work towards our net zero objectives.”

Martin Leighton Group Procurement Director

Lucion Group successfully supported E4environment Ltd by conducting a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) assessment of anticipated operational emissions for a proposed project at Easton, Lincolnshire. The plans involved redeveloping a Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) and installing an Anaerobic Digestion plant.

In response to the Finch vs. Surrey County Council court ruling in June 2024, Lincolnshire County Council issued a Section 25 request for additional scrutiny of GHG emissions before planning consent could be granted. Lucion Group Associate Consultant, Rob Dadzie, submitted a detailed GHG emissions assessment and clear report addressing the council’s concerns. His expertise and support ensured the final submission met the latest Environmental Impact Assessment requirements.

The contribution of Lucion Group and Rob Dadzie to the project team meant the project successfully satisfied the Local Authority’s conditions, enabling Council members to determine unanimous approval of the final planning application. Once operational, the site will process 120,000 tonnes of feedstock per year, generating 5MW of renewable biogas energy to supply on-site cold storage and other facilities.

Deb Cairns Director

Joanne Snell General Manager

Lucion Delta-Simons Ltd did a great job getting to grips quickly with the project and successfully assisting us in achieving the BREEAM very good rating, thereby removing this potentially significant obstacle to the sale of the building. I will certainly come back to Delta-Simons for BREEAM related advice in the future.

Net Zero FAQs

To ensure the credibility of net zero efforts, businesses should follow recognised standards and best practices, such as the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.

Regularly disclosing progress, seeking third-party verification, and engaging stakeholders can also help build trust and accountability. Our sustainability and carbon consultants can provide guidance on credibility measures and assist in their implementation.

When selecting a net zero carbon consultant, you should consider factors such as expertise, experience, track record, and alignment with their specific needs and goals. Look for consultants who have a deep understanding of net zero strategies, a proven ability to deliver results, and a collaborative, partnership-based approach.

Requesting case studies, references, and proposals can help inform your selection process.

Effective communication of net zero progress involves regularly disclosing emissions, targets, and reduction initiatives through channels such as sustainability reports, websites, and stakeholder engagement. Aligning with recognised reporting frameworks, such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), can ensure transparency and credibility.

Our sustainability and carbon consultants provide guidance on best practices and assist in developing your communication strategies.

Carbon offsetting involves investing in projects that reduce, remove, or avoid greenhouse gas emissions to compensate for emissions that cannot be eliminated.

While reducing emissions should be the priority, offsetting can help balance residual emissions and support the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Our team of sustainability and carbon consultants can identify credible, high-quality offset projects that align with your net zero goals.

Addressing Scope 3 emissions requires engaging with suppliers, customers, and other value chain partners to assess and reduce indirect emissions. This may involve collecting data, setting supplier standards, collaborating on low-carbon initiatives, and integrating sustainability into procurement processes.

Our experienced carbon consultants can provide guidance on effective approaches and help facilitate these efforts.

Developing a net zero carbon strategy typically involves assessing current emissions, setting science-based reduction targets, identifying emission reduction opportunities, developing an action plan, and establishing mechanisms for tracking progress and communicating results.

Working with our experienced carbon consultants, we ensure your strategy is comprehensive, feasible, and aligned with best practices.
