What does it really mean to create a ‘healthy building’? Alex Ferguson of Delta-Simons will be taking part in Arup's discussion at MIPIM this year to uncover how health and wellbeing are shaping the built environment.
How can our urban environment be designed to support healthier lifestyles? And what are the cost implications of integrating wellbeing into design? Buildings that promote personal health and wellbeing are becoming an increasing priority across the built environment, for designers, developers, operators and tenants alike. But given the complicated interplay of factors that create occupant wellbeing, the subject is still an unfamiliar, specialist field.
Arup are hosting a discussion on the Evidence yacht on Thursday 16th March at MIPIM featuring industry and property experts, how to make investments in wellbeing that create brilliant work or living spaces, new design approaches to make this possible and how built assets can produce long-term health benefits.
Panel members include:
Martin Townsend – Director, BRE Group
Martin will discuss how buildings can become both sustainable and healthy, drawing on work by the new partnership between WELL and BREEAM.
Colin Sinclair – Chairman, Bruntwood Liverpool and Chief Executive, Liverpool Knowledge Quarter
With a leading role in creating one of Europe’s leading Innovation Districts Colin will discuss the vital role of health and wellbeing in individual workplaces and across cities of the future.
