Simon Johnson (pictured right), Senior Consultant in the Delta-Simons Environmental Planning team and chartered member of the RTPI says, “The support of this historical institution on 14th September is important to Delta-Simons as it shows our continued support for the profession as well as new development and regeneration in this region. Delta-Simons continues to provide our clients with the best environmental planning advice possible and plays a key role in securing the delivery of our clients’ projects. In addition, the sponsorship of events such as these enables us to continue to work alongside some of our planning consultancy clients who are supported by this institute.”
“Whether Delta-Simons are providing initial ground investigations, ecological surveys or environmental planning work; the value of these services are retrospectively increased when the client knows they have a permission to deliver their project. Therefore, our continuing support for Town Planners and development makes us very proud to sponsor this local and interesting event.”
The event will focus on the regeneration, development and growth of Hull in its city of culture year so far, how the city of culture has aided the area and how Hull can assist other cities in their bids for cultural success. The lecture itself will be followed by a networking reception in the Guildhall.
Emma Lancaster, Chair of RTPI Yorkshire said, “I’m delighted RTPI Yorkshire has been able to add to the already fulsome programme of events in Hull with its Annual Lecture, which will be of interest to both planners and non-planners, aiding our understanding of the role of culture in catalysing economic and social regeneration. Delta-Simons’ sponsorship of the Annual Lecture reflects their commitment to supporting built environment professionals with high quality environmental planning advice.”
A tour is being offered before the event for anyone who wants to explore the key regeneration and cultural projects of the city. For more information about the event and how to book, read more.
