Sarah McCourt

Sarah graduated from the University of Reading with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Geology in 2005. After a couple of years travelling, Sarah returned to the University of Reading and completed an MSc in Soil Environmental Pollution in 2008. Following post graduate learning Sarah has accrued 18 years of industry experience working in a consultancy environment. Sarah is a Chartered Environmentalist, a Member of the Insitiute of Environmental Sciences (IES) and a Fellow of the Geological Society .

Predominantly London based, Sarah has worked on large complex schemes within the southeast, including HS2, and, since joining Lucion, now runs the Geo-environmental team from our office in Shoreditch. Sarah specialises in contaminated land with a particular interest in waste having been a Qualified Person (QP) for a number of years. Sarah is an expert in Geoenvironmental risk management and produces, reviews and authorises detailed qualitative and quantitative factual and interpretive reports, including Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 reports as well as Waste Assessments and Material Management Plans.

In addition to her professional career, Sarah is passionate about mentoring and developing her staff via our in-house Academy, through to Chartership and beyond. Sarah is also a STEM ambassador and often takes part in events with school pupils and students to encourage young people into science and engineering.
