Paul Hayball

Since joining Lucion in 2013, Paul has been instrumental in transforming the company\’s digital infrastructure, where he leads the development and implementation of the company\’s proprietary risk management and ERP system, NexGen. 

Under his leadership, NexGen has evolved from a basic data collection system into a comprehensive enterprise resource planning platform that manages critical project data across the group\’s operations. 

Paul\’s technical expertise spans multiple programming languages, server architecture design, database management, and API integration. He has successfully designed and implemented data exchange specifications for major systems including Planon, MICAD, E-Locate, SOLAR/ACMS, and Keystone, while maintaining strict data integrity standards. 

A key achievement has been the development of NexGen\’s scalable architecture, which now handles over 1,000 server requests per minute and supports the company\’s rapid expansion through multiple acquisitions. His implementation of innovative features such as precise GPS location mapping and QR coding systems has significantly enhanced operational efficiency and risk management capabilities across client sites. 

Most recently, Paul led his team to victory in the 2024 AWS Generative AI Hackathon, demonstrating Lucion\’s commitment to technological advancement in the environmental services sector. This achievement has positioned the company at the forefront of AI implementation in enterprise environments. 

As Software Engineering Director, Paul continues to drive technological innovation while maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus certification standards and ensuring robust security protocols across all digital platforms. 

His strategic approach to software development has been fundamental to Lucion\’s digital transformation and ongoing business success.
