Kyle Jones is a Building Performance Consultant with a strong technical background in building physics and a genuine interest in practical, buildable low-energy design.

Kyle is our Principal Building Performance Consultant at Lucion Survey Ltd, working day-to-day with Standard Assessment Procedures (SAP), Simplified Building Energy Models (SBEM), including Level 5 Dynamic Simulation Modelling, Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) and building regulations compliance across the UK. He regularly supports design teams and clients through detailed modelling, overheating analysis and energy strategy work, helping them understand the real-world implications of design choices rather than treating compliance as a box-ticking exercise.

With a view of making compliance simpler, Kyle is comfortable explaining complex building physics in plain language, producing clear reports and scenario modelling that inform decisions on heating systems, fabric upgrades and renewables. His work spans both residential and commercial projects, from new-build specialist care facilities and warehouse refurbishments through to major mixed-use developments, where he has led SBEM assessments, overheating analysis and carbon reduction strategies to demonstrate compliance with Part L, Part O and local planning requirements.

Prior to joining Lucion, Kyle worked as a Sustainability Consultant and Building Performance Consultant across several UK consultancies, lodging over 1,600 residential EPCs and delivering Part L SAP & SBEM calculations, U-value and interstitial condensation risk calculations, and DSM & BREEAM credit support through LZCGT feasibility studies and passive design analysis.
