Dave brings over two decades of experience in geotechnical engineering, asset management, and business development to his role as Business Development Manager at Lucion.

Dave’s career spans the full spectrum of geotechnical engineering and construction project delivery, from ground investigations and earthworks design to client relationship management and strategic business development. With a solid foundation in engineering geology, he has held diverse technical roles including geotechnical engineer, site manager, project manager, and client liaison, equipping him with comprehensive expertise across the civil engineering and infrastructure sectors.

Since joining Lucion, Dave has been responsible for developing client relationships and driving business growth across key sectors. His focus is on delivering client-centric solutions that combine technical excellence with commercial insight, positioning Lucion as a trusted partner for organisations requiring geotechnical and environmental consultancy services.

Dave’s technical background provides him with a unique advantage in business development. He has extensive experience working with both private and public sector clients on geotechnical asset management, delivering solutions that balance technical innovation with practical implementation. His ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences has been a hallmark of his career, successfully promoting geotechnical engineering to diverse stakeholders including council members, structural engineers, architects, and infrastructure operators.

Dave holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Geology from Staffordshire University and is a CSCS Site Manager qualification card holder and qualified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA England). His passion for advancing the industry extends beyond his professional work. He is a STEM Ambassador, an elected committee member of the National Highways Supplier Diversity Forum (SDF), and has volunteered as a committee member of a local geology trust. He co-developed the innovative #GOSAFE Health and Safety culture campaign, enhancing workplace safety awareness.

With his unique combination of technical geotechnical expertise, Dave is focused on ensuring Lucion’s services deliver exceptional value to clients whilst fostering long-term partnerships that support critical infrastructure development and asset management across the UK.
